Kharazi: Iran seeks to restore diplomatic relations with Egypt

Iran's foreign minister, Kamal Kharazi has stressed that his country seeks to restore diplomatic relations with Egypt in the service of mutual interests.
In a statement he made on Wednesday in conclusion of his visit to Greece, he expressed hope to resume Egyptian-Iranian relations in the near future saying that the, "two countries should come closer and we are working on that."
Kharazi arrived in Tehran on Wednesday from Athens after taking part in the tripartite meeting with the Greek and Armenian foreign ministers. The three ministers discussed fields of economic and trade cooperation between the three countries and regional issues of mutual concern.
A memorandum of understanding covering multifaceted cooperation fields was signed.
