Morocco, Politics, 12/25/1997
Morocco's King Hassan II will inaugurate tomorrow the opening session of the new Moroccan Parliament which consists of two councils.
The Moroccan Monarch will deliver a speech before the new parliament. Political circles expect the speech will tackle the course to be taken by the country in the future especially in regards to the responsibilities of the Premier who will be entrusted with holding discussions to form the new government during the upcoming month.
Meanwhile, the ruling, opposition and central parties will hold meetings in order to evaluate the recent election. Some political circles expected the (Opposition) Socialist party and the (Central) Gathering of the Free to form a union that will be headed by Ahmed Asman. Some left-wing and Central parties are expected to join this union in order to create a parliamentary majority.
Those political circles expected that this union will not take its full shape before the Moroccan Monarch issues his decree to form the cabinet.
