Iraq delivered a list of 66 Jordanians jailed in Iraq

Iraq's embassy in Amman answering a Jordanian government request delivered a list containing the names of 66 Jordanians jailed in Iraq, Foreign Minister Fayez al-Taraunah told reporters.
Jordan's Foreign Ministry commenced reviewing the list with specialized authorities to complete the information and to continue communications with Iraq to investigate the prisoners' situations and to follow up on their cases, he added.
The Foreign Ministry will compare the names it received with those found in the Ministry to certify the identities of those still in custody,the minister reported.
He pointed out that it might be possible that some of those prisoners' sentences had ended and others might have been released.
Earlier reportts indicated that the Iraqi list containd the names of 140 prisoners.
