Egypt and Iran warn Ankara against alliance consequences

The Turkish daily ash-Shafaq al-Jadid (New Twilight) on Tuesday said that Egypt and Iran warned Turkey about military cooperation with Israel.
The paper continued that Egypt and Iran sent last week warning letters to Ankara urging the Turkish government to cease cooperation with Israel, "otherwise the headquarters of the Organization of the eight Islamic countries will be moved from Istanbul to Cairo or Tehran."
The organization which was established at the initiative of former Turkish Premier Necmettin Erbakan and works within the framework of the Organization of the Islamic Conference comprises Egypt, Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia, Nigeria and Turkey.
