Tripoli: Farrakhan stresses the importance of uniting Muslim ranks

In a lecture he delivered on Monday in Tripoli, Libya Louis Farrakhan, leader of the US Nation of Islam, underlined the importance of uniting Muslims all over the world against "impending onslaughts" so that they can assume their proper position among the world's civilizations.
He criticized the embargos imposed on Libya, Iraq and Sudan which are carried out under US pressures, and denounced Israel's intransigence in the peace process, calling for further Islamic support for the Palestinian people.
He regretted the denunciation of the US justice department for his visit to Libya, wondering: "Should I ask a permission from Washington to visit my Muslim brothers in Libya?"
