Conference on prophet's associates
Syria-Iran, Religion, 12/23/1997
An intellectual conference on the Prophet Muhammad's associates, Ammar Bin Yasser, Owis al-Qarani and their followers, was opened by Syria's information minister in the Northern Syrian city of Raqqa, which contains the associates' tombs.
The conference was held by the Iranian cultural center of Iran's embassy in Damascus and the Syrian cultural ministry participants in the forum called upon "to derive lessons from Prophet Muhammad's noble associates and followers who offered great sacrifices in defense of Islam and its sublime teachings based on justice, right, equality tolerance and amity."
