Bahrain expresses hopes for enhanced relationship with Qatar
Bahrain-Qatar, Politics, 12/22/1997

Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, the Amir of Bahrain, called for convening an Arab summit to enhance solidarity for the good of all Arab states, including Iraq which is passing through difficult circumstances, stating that the problems facing the Arab nation are due to a lack of complete Arab coordination and unresolved Arab problems.

He also said that the border dispute between Qatar and Bahrain, is now before the Arab Justice Court.

The Amir emphasized the importance of complete international cooperation to combat terrorism in any land in which it might exist.

He also said, "We should not tolerate terrorism under any slogan or justification because human rights do not including destruction... burning out houses, scattering families." This in reference to arson attacks that the Bahrain has experienced in the past.
