No big decisions from Arafat-Netanyahu meeting, US says
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 12/22/1997
A US source said on Sunday that the American administration does not expect Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or Palestinian President Yasser Arafat to take important decisions before their meeting with US President Bill Clinton next January.
Israeli Army radio quoted its correspondent in Washington as saying that the US administration will ask Netanyahu to specify a clear stand on redeployment and Arafat to take a practical stand on "fighting terrorism." The radio denied any tripartite meeting between Clinton, Arafat and Netanyahu.
