Iran and Bahrain exchanging diplomats

A week after the Tehran Islamic Summit concluded its meetings, its results are continuing to be felt on all levels. One of those results is a clearing of the climate among Arab states and some of their neighbors. Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed Bin Mubarak Al Khaleifa stated that Bahrain and Iran will exchange ambassadors.
He added that the two countries had agreed on adopting some measures in order to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries, he described the discussions between the two countries as fruitful.
The Emir of Bahrain expressed his hope that Iran, as a leading country in the region, would conduct better relations with its neighboring countries as those relations will boost the fields of cooperation and stability of the region for the interest and development of everyone.
Iranian President Mohamed Khatami had received the Bahraini Foreign Minister within the activities of the 8th Islamic Summit. During that meeting Khatami stated that Iran is eager to strengthen its relations with Bahrain.
