Tourism inspections in Egypt

Dr. Mamdoh Beltagi, Egypt's tourism minister, yesterday met with a group of businessmen and investors who are currently establishing a tourism investment center in southern Taba.

Dr. Beltagi reviewed progress on the construction of the center's 10 projects and their infrastructure. Under the project, staff members will be receive the needed training. The minister affirmed that terrorist attacks would not discourage the government from pursuing development.

He said prospects for the Egyptian tourism industry are very promising and that he expected it to prosper over the next few years.

Minister Beltagy also attended the signing ceremony of a contract between a French leading tourism company and an Egyptian company for the management of a hotel in El-Ein El-Sokhna on the Red Sea, Al Jomhorai daily reported.
