Oman, Egypt join inter-Arab trade accord

An Arab League (AL) committee urged Arab countries to expedite joining an agreement to promote inter-Arab trade.
In a report to the AL general secretariat, the committee on the implementation and follow-up of the Arab free trade zone welcomed Egypt and Oman as new members to the accord.
The report added that the committee had received assurances from 16 Arab countries that they had notified customs authorities of cutting 16% from duties on Arab country products as of this January, Al Wafd daily said.
