US jet fighters to Jordan

Jordan today received four US F-16 jet fighters as the first delivery of what will total 16 jets of the same type. The second delivery will be made by the beginning of 1998 and the third later in the year.
King Hussein of Jordan, who attended the delivery celebration said that the arrival of the jets is evidence of the developed relations between Jordan and the US in recent years. The King noted that these jets are part of the US aid to Jordan.
