Bahraini - Jordanian committee meets next month

The Jordanian - Bahraini Committee will hold its meetings in Amman next month. The meetings will be headed by Jordanian Premier Abdel Salam Al Mejali and the Bahraini Premier Salman Bin Khalifa.

During these meetings, the committee will sign 5 agreements to encourage and protect investments, prevent the tax duality and establish administrative cooperation in the customs sector and the maritime transportation. The committee is expected to approve an executive program for cultural, tourist, information and sports, and scientific cooperation for the coming 2 years.

As for the private sector, the committee will also discuss the mechanism and means of benefiting from the incentives and exemptions granted through the Economic and Trade agreement.

In the health sector, the committee will discuss signing a protocol for health cooperation between the two countries which will try to attract the Bahraini patients to be treated in Jordanian hospitals. The protocol will also allow Jordanian medical teams to visit Bahrain to offer medical assistance, in addition to providing Jordanian manpower -- doctors and nurses -- to the Bahraini market.
