French - Egyptian military talks before meeting between Mubarak and Chirac

Egyptian diplomatic sources expect a joint meeting in Paris at the end of the current month between Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his French counterpart, Jacques Chirac, at Chirac's invitation.
The meeting is for discussions between the two countries about enhancing their joint relationship and issues of joint concern, such as the European role in the Middle East peace process, how to advance the peace process, bilateral relations, security cooperation to fight terrorism, and peace maintenance in African areas of conflict.
The third session's activities were held in Cairo, for the French-Egyptian strategic negotiations, with the chairmanship of Abu El-Ghait the Egyptian ambassador's foreign minister's assistant and "Rigees de plint" the security manager and disarmament in the French foreign ministry.
The French armed forces chairman arrives in Cairo today to hold military talks that aim to enhance the joint cooperation between the two countries in military aspects.
