A message to the world from Luxor

The Egyptian Ministry of Culture held a commemoration night for the victims of the terrorist attack that occurred in Luxor on November 17. The ceremony was held in Luxor, where the attack took place.
The renowned novelist, the Nobel Prize for Literature winner Naguib Mahfouz wrote a message that was read in the ceremony, entitled "The Message of Thebes to the World." It is a message addressed to the nations of the world by the Egyptian people. The message was read by actor Omar Sherif in Arabic, English and French.
2000 international dignitaries attended the ceremony, including the foreign ambassadors in Egypt.
