Symposium to preserve Arab technology transfer property

Participants in the Arab symposium for concession and technology transfer rights, which met Tuesday in Amman, recommended the formation of a united Arab law on concession and technology transfer rights, an Arab conference for electronic trade via the Internet and improvements in Arab industries in order to stand economic changes taking place in the world.

The symposium also underlined the importance of the role played by the private sector and the need to set up groups from the public sector assigned to revitalize the role of the private sector and to adopt enforceable laws on technology transfer.

Other proposals were submitted to the symposium in which 17 Arab and foreign countries took part, aimed at shedding light on the importance on initiating laws and legislations on technology transfer rights The submitted papers underlined the importance of Arab infrastructure for technology transfer through adopting the principle of patent right for facilitating technology production and export.
