Mohamed Mahdi Saleh the Iraqi trade minister said he expects serious steps over the coming period to further trade links between his state and Egypt.
The minister said bilateral trade exchange rose to $110 million US under a memo of understanding signed by the two on this score, Al Anbaa daily said today.
Joint trade cooperation is expected to surge to at least $500 million US annually should the anti-Iraq embargo he lifted, he noted.
