Syrian - Kuwaiti committee met on economic cooperation

The Syrian-Kuwaiti committee for economic cooperation has started a two-day meeting in Kuwait. It discussed work papers drawn by the preparatory committee. The work papers include Syrian-Kuwaiti relations and means of developing them in the fields of economy, trade, transport and communications.

In a statement to SANA, the Kuwaiti deputy premier and finance minister, Nasser al Rudan, said Syrian-Kuwaiti committee is one of the most successful cooperative committees.

He added that the committee has discussed many working papers which include aviation, transport, tourism, culture and education besides debating investment possibilities in Syria and the working mechanism of the Kuwaiti Holding Company which is set at a capital of US $200 million for the purpose of enhancing Kuwaiti investment in Syria and alleviating Syrian businessmen's production projects.
