Algerian minister: Algeria refuses all negotiations with terrorist groups
Algeria, Politics, 12/9/1997

Algerian Minister of Tourism Abdel Qader Bin Karina stated that his country refuses anew to enter any negotiation with terrorist groups.

The Algerian minister rejected the accusations that the Algerian authorities had been involved in the acts of murder and violence of innocent civilians. He confirmed that no free leadership can murder its people then rush to defend it before the international organizations.

Karina clarified that those groups that terrorize and murder civilians are Algerian groups and that the terrorists are Algerian but those acts are masterminded by foreign parties.

He also pointed out that Algeria does not give enough importance to the tourism sector. It does not publish tourist brochures or hold tourist activities. He said that Algeria depends mainly on petroleum and agriculture for its revenues.
