Syrian, Lebanese Presidents in Teheran for Summit

Syrian President Hafez Assad arrived Teheran today to take part in the 8th Islamic Summit due to convene Tuesday morning. Meantime, in a pre-departure statement to Teheran, President Hrawi of Lebanon asserted that south Lebanon is the responsibility of Lebanon.
He thanked all Arab and Islamic countries which back the Lebanese resistance. He went on to say that Lebanon will be an active member in the 8th Islamic Summit in Teheran. Noting bilateral relations between Lebanon and Iran, President Hrawi said that meetings and contacts between the two countries have never ceased, nor been interrupted.
