Peres: Peace with Syria requires full withdrawal from the Golan

Former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres has stated that reaching a peace accord with Syria is impossible without a full Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights occupied since 1967. at the Israeli Labor party conference held in Tel Aviv Peres added, "President Assad seeks peace but he will not take actual steps as far as Israel thinks that peace is attainable against a partial withdrawal from the Golan.
"This is not good news, but this fact is held true," he said, adding Syria will not give up her stances." I do not know why Netanyahu's government wants to waste time," he said on Israeli radio, adding "We have to tell people the truth, and.. I feel that time is running out."
