Kohl urges Netanyahu to join peace track
Israel, International, 12/6/1997
German Chancellor Helmut Kohl has expressed great concern over the stalemate in the peace process.
The Associated Press quoted a spokesman for the German government in a statement Friday that during his meeting with Israel's Premier Benjamin Netanyahu, Kohl pledged that the EU will spare no effort in support of the Middle East peace process.
The spokesman added that Kohl urged Netanyahu to abide by the Hebron and Oslo accords, especially in regard to redeployment in the West Bank.
