Lebanon: 438,000 tourists in the last 9 months

Lebanon saw an increase in tourist visits, up to 438,000 compared with 420,000 thousand last year.
In the first quarter of the year tourists from Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Jordan amounted to 88,900 compared with 53,000 in the same period last year. Saudi tourists accounted for 36,000 visits.
About 177,000 Arab tourists visited Lebanon, while 130,000 Europeans, 48,000 Americans -- up from only 2,000 -- and 32,000 Asians also visited the country.
