Heated debate or Netanyahu's credibility

The Israeli daily Haaretz has said that high-ranking US-Jewish leaders taking part in the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations could not agree to back Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his public dispute with the US administration over the future of the Middle East peace process.
The Israeli daily went on to say that the conference, whose participants said Clinton supported Israel more than any president in memory, remained silent over his approach toward Netanyahu, who pursues a policy of expanding Israeli settlements and refuses to implement peace agreements signed with the Palestinians.
