Iran - Saudi security cooperation

Iran's defense minister has called for closer ties with Saudi Arabia, including the development of ministry and security cooperation, the Iranian newspaper agency IRNA said Monday.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran strenuously follows the policy of broadening relations with Persian Gulf states in all fields," Rear-Admiral Ali Shamkhani told his Saudi counterpart, Prince Sultan, during a telephone conversation on Sunday, IRNA said.
