A training course by Kuwaiti Planning Institute

Sponsored by the International Center for Agricultural Researches in Dry Areas, the Arab Planning Institute on December 6 in Kuwait opens a training program on evaluating, planning and following up the implementation of agricultural projects in the southern agricultural region in Syria.

Some 14 trainees from Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are taking part in the program. The participants will learn about the principles of evaluating agricultural projects and the criteria used in this respect through using FAO's computer program. Institute director Issa al-Ghazali said the Institute will also run two successive programs on environmental problems, solutions, economy standardization, and agricultural policy analysis and implementation.
