Damascus hosts Arab writers conference

Under the title of "The Arab Culture and Combating Normalization," Damascus hosts during the 20th General Conference of Arab Writers on December 18-21 with the participation of delegations representing Arab Writers Unions and Leagues.

The conference will discuss many issues in artistic spheres and means of modern communications and means of combating them.

In tandem with the conference, a symposium titled "The Literature of the Arab Child Among Education, Information and Informatics" is being held. The national and pan-Arab identity in children's writings and the hazards of globalization will also be tabled on the agenda of the symposium.

The conference will be followed by the 21st festival of Arabic poetry, which will be held in Beirut with the participation of 150 poets and men of letters.
