Heritage conference on Lebanon

The International conference on Lebanon's heritage will open this month in Beirut with the aim of creating proper conditions to preserve Lebanon's legacy and heritage.
According to the chairperson of the Lebanese National Heritage Association (NHA), Mrs. Mona Hrawi, the objective of the conference is "to come up with effective and practical recommendations to protect Lebanon's rich heritage."
In a news conference Mrs Hrawi said that Lebanese, Arab and foreign archaeologists and architects taking part in the conference will discuss methods on preserving ancient sites and houses and share experiences on best preservation and renovation techniques.
Means of disseminating awareness among the public on the conditions of Lebanon's heritage and ancient civilization will be also taken into account.
