Peace cosponsors asked to press Israel

In a statement released marking the solidarity day with the Palestine partitioning resolution, the Arab League (AL) has called on the international community -- especially the countries that backed the resolution and realized the establishment of the Israeli state -- to help the Palestinian people set up their independent state of their own land.
The AL also called upon the US and Russia to put pressure on the Israeli government to force it to commit itself to signed agreements with the purpose of realizing peace, stability and security in the Middle East region.
