International Symposium on remote sensing opened today

The 8th international symposium on remote sensing applications on land use and its impact on environment opened yesterday in Damascus in collaboration between General Organization for Remote Sensing and Euro-Arab Cooperation Center.

The symposium will discuss several topics on remote sensing applications, land use, the environmental impact of land use, environmental changes monitoring geomorphology and environmental impacts, environmental pollution monitoring, international efforts in the modern technology use to protect environment and remote sensing new discoveries.

Egypt, Lebanon, Tunis, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Libya, Sudan, Yemen, Germany, Russia, the USA, Austria, Italy, France, India, Sweden, the UN, the Organization of Islamic Capitals (OIC) and ministers and establishments concerned in Syria are taking part in the deliberations of the four-day symposium.
