Austria, Jordan for peace efforts

Austria's chancellor Viktor Klima and Jordan's Prime Minister Abdul Salam al-Majali today afternoon discussed peace process developments in the region, especially on the Palestinian track.

The two sides stressed the need to bring the peace process out of the stalemate it has reached, calling upon peace loving forces in the European Union and the peace process co-sponsors to support efforts and moves to resume and reactivate the peace process.

The Austrian chancellor briefed the Jordanian side on the results of his tour of the region and his country's interest in strengthening the peace process and giveing it a push forward.

Majali praised the role played by Austria in narrowing conflicting viewpoints.

Meeting with Jordanian Crown Prince Hassan, Chancellor Klima discussed investment topics and joint venture projects between the two countries.
