A call for setting Arab and Islamic departments in Africa

The participants in the seminar "Al Qaraweoun University in the 21st Century Horizon" held in the Moroccan city of Fez called on the Islamic and international organizations and universities to support Al Qaraweoun University to restore its manuscripts and preserve the treasures the university contains.

The participants' recommendations included setting up Islamic and Arab studies departments in the African countries that would be branches of the Al Qaraweoun University and which would help in disseminating the Moroccan Islamic culture.

They also stressed the need for strengthening the relations and cooperation among the Islamic universities to increase their competence and to bridge the gap among different Islamic persuasions through publishing the correct historical events and the Islamic culture. The also stressed the necessity of Islamic universities to work on the Islamic revival and to direct it into its right course.
