Bueiz: South is Israel's Vietnam

Lebanon Foreign Minister Fares Bueiz commented on the current Israeli heated debate over its presence in the south of Lebanon on whether to have a unilateral withdrawal from South Lebanon or to perpetuated occupation, as saying that Israel's occupation of South Lebanon is but a second Vietnam.
He added all military means used by Israel has been foiled together with the principle of occupation as this issue has become debated on various levels inside the Israeli army and Kneset, the Likud Party and the government. He added that Israel who, failed after numerous tests, should know that full withdrawal from South Lebanon and application of UN resolution 425 is the only means to establish stability in this region.
Lebanese officials have stated that if Israel withdraws from the south, they can be assured that not a single bullet will be fired from the south onto Israeli areas.
