Libya, International, 11/26/1997
Libya has lifted a ban it imposed on entry of Austrians over a week ago following a dispute involving Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi's son, an Austrian diplomat said yesterday.
The ban was lifted officially Saturday a diplomat at the Austrian embassy in Tripoli, contacted by telephone from neighboring Tunisia, told reporters.
"Austrian citizens have been entering Libya since" he added. A Foreign Ministry official in Vienna said the ministry has been trying for more than a week to have the entry ban lifted, Al Ahram daily reported today.
