Egypt, Business, 11/25/1997

Egypt Air has developed an emergency plan to minimize the consequences of last week's massacre in Luxor, which left sores of forgein tourists and Egyptians dead and wounded.

Hassan Almufti, the tourism sector chief at Egypt Air said efforts will be doubled over the coming period to attract tourists from the countries whose nationals were not among the victims, especially from Eastern Europe and some Asian and African countries.

More emphasis will be placed on religious and domestic sightseeing programs to visit areas of historical and or theological interest especially in Luxor, Aswan, Abusimble, Hurghada and south Sinai.

The flights will be organized at a cost that will make it suitable for the low-income segments.
