Kuwait for pan-Arab efforts

The Kuwaiti government has expressed appreciation for the understanding shown by the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon concerning recent developments in the region and the need to maintain closer coordination and cooperation among the Arab countries in serving national principles.

This was expressed in the recent meeting of the Kuwaiti cabinet, during which the ministers listened to a report read by Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Sabah on the positive results of his tour of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon.

Sheikh al Sabah briefed the Kuwaiti cabinet on the content of talks with Presidents Assad, Hrawi and Mubarak and King Fahd which dealt with current developments in the Gulf region and their impact on establishing security and stability in the region. The talks also addresed the Middle East peace process and means of fostering bilateral relations and strengthening security and stability in the region.
