Islamic Development Bank meet today in Damascus

The 22nd annual meeting of the Governors Council of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) opened today al Umayad Palace in Damascus, headed by Syria's economic and exterior commerce minister, Dr. Mohamed El-Amawy.
51 Islamic member states are attending the meeting. Also present are delegations of the bank's member states and representatives of the Islamic banks, national establishments for developmental financing and representatives of international and regional establishments which cooperate with IDB.
The agenda of the meeting includes the bank's activities, last year's financial report, reviewing the Bank's annual report and other relevant activities.
Besides the meetings, many discussions will be held concerning preparations for the next century.
