Palestinian businessmen return from Emirates
Palestine, Economics, 11/24/1997

The Palestinian Businessmen Association in Gaza praised the outcome of a visit its delegation lately held to Sharja in the United Arab Emirates. Speaking to the press upon his return from Sharja, Khalil Taha, head of the association, said the visit had helped strengthen cooperation between the two sides and will have its effect on improving Palestinian economy and development.

"The goal of the visit," said Taha, "was to know more about the Gulf markets in general and in the United Arab Emirates in particular, and to study prospects for setting up bridges of cooperation between the Sharja Chamber of Commerce and the Gaza-based Association." The delegation had met with head of Sharja Chamber of Commerce, Said Jarwan, who, according to Taha, expressed readiness to supply the visiting Palestinian delegation with all data they need on trade and commerce with the UAE.
