New Egyptian minister of interior moves decisively to improve security

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak issued a republican decision to appoint Major-General Habeeb Ibrahim Habeeb El Adley to be the new minister of interior. Adley replaces Hassan Al Alfi after Monday's terrorist attack on tourists in Luxor.
Adley earned a bachelor degree in law, a diploma in police in 1961, and worked after graduation in the field of public security, the anti-drug department, and in criminal inspection. He also worked in the Bureau of National Security Investigations on 1965 and won many promotions until he became the bureau's vice-president as he promoted to be the minister's assistant on 1993.
During his work in the national security investigation he was deputized in the Ministry of Exterior between the years 82-84.
He also assumed the position of the minister's first assistant and the head of the general department of national security in visitation body on February, 5 1996.
He had many specialized courses in criminal field and a course concerning crisis management in U.S.A on 1985. After that he got the excellency medal on 1983 from the Egyptian president on.
Acting promptly, the new minister of interior issued decisions to transfer a number of major generals who were assuming high positions in the ministry of interior to other technical and civil affairs departments.
He also transferred Luxor security director and his deputy, and decided to appoint major Hany El-Ezaby to the position of director of the national security investigation department.
