Human rights group condemns security forces for torture

A statement issued by the Sudan Organization for Human Rights in Cairo said that Hassan Abdel Maguid was arrested for 4 days during which he was physically and psychologically tortured to the extent that the security forces had to send him to the hospital.
The statement added that Abdel Maguid was released during his stay at hospital due to the doctors advice yet he is still suffering pain.
The statement said that the security forces accused Hassan Abdel Maguid, who is working as a secretary of a well known Sudanese politician in Abeel Alleer, of transferring government information to an Arab state embassy and having relations with the opposition in southern Sudan.
