Egypt, Tanzania to boost ties

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa received yesterday Hassan Kabillo, the African department director at the Tanzanian Foreign Ministry.

Moussa said that the meeting reviewed means of enhancing bilateral relations in the various areas in addition to following up the recommendations of the joint commission, which held its meeting during his visit to Tanzania in the summer within the framework of his tour of eastern African countries.

The Tanzanian official said the meeting also addressed how to speed up the implementation of agreements signed between the two sides, especially with regard to water resources, irrigation, the elimination of double taxation and investment guarantees.

He added that an Egyptian delegation would visit Tanzania this month and it would include representatives from the ministries of power, resources and agriculture, Al Osboaa wekkly said today.
