Kuwait-Egypt to unify mobile phone systems

Kuwait and Egypt are due to seal an agreement on the mobile exchange between the two counties next week.
Kuwait's communications minister, Dr. Jasem Aloum, is expected in Egypt next week to discuss final details prior to signing the agreement which includes unifying the mobile phone systems in both countries to allow subscribers to use their sets in both countries and pay their bills in their homeland.
Over the past weeks, Egypt has clinched similar agreements with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain and is expected to hammer out similar ones with England, Germany, and Saudi Arabia, Al Anbaa Al Kuwaitia said today.
