For first the first time since the Gulf War, 26 Arab and foreign countries will participate in the International Baghdad Fair.
Despite the fact that there is a crisis in the Gulf due to the escalation of the dispute between United States and Iraq, this marks the first time since 1989 that the International Baghdad Fair has witnessed intensive competition between hundreds of Arab and foreign companies toward a third, promising market to all kinds of goods and services.
The importance of the exhibition is shown by the participation of Arab and foreign countries, which are taking a decisive stance toward the current system. On the top of these countries come Iran, Syria and Egypt.
The number of participating countries in the International Baghdad Fair which lasts until the end of the present month had exceeded 26 Arab and foreign countries, and the companies of these countries presented goods which include the oil-for-food accord and others which are outside the items of this accord.
Hashem, the chairman of Egyptian sector, ratified Egyptian - Iraqi accords with the value of 100 million dollars this year.
