Hrawi brings up increase in petrol prices
Lebanon, Politics, 11/14/1997
Deputies who visited Baabda yesterday reported that president Elias Hrawi clearly mentioned his support for the increase in petrol prices to finance the "chain of grades and wages" project.
Meanwhile, Hrawi said he doesn't consider the Bekaa area to be under military rule.
Hrawi said the army is the one to judge how and when measures should be taken. Hrawi added that he is from Bekaa and is therefore concerned about its image. Sheikh Sobhi Toufeili had announced, yesterday, that ministers should be pursued and disgraced.
