Tunis: $1.6 billion budget deficit

Official statistics showed that the Tunisian budget deficit increased to 1809.8 million dinars ($1.6 billion) during the first nine months of the current year compared to 1577.9 million dinars during the same period last year.
The total volume of exports increased by 13.4% as it registered 4415.4 million dinars compared to 3892.2 million dinars last year. The imports also increased by 13.8% as they were worth of 6225.2 million dinars compared to 5470.4 million dinars last year.
The most important exports of Tunisia are the agricultural products while the imports include necessary commodities for all sectors.
