Military observers from OAU to Comoros

The Organization of African Unity (OAU) said yesterday that it would deploy military observers on the Comoros Islands despite objections from secessionists on Anjouan.
The OAU'S conflict prevention center said it would deploy a 25 member military observer team, Al Gomhoria daily said today.
No date was set for the deployment. "The central organ of the OAU mechanism for conflict prevention, management and resolution has authorized the deployment of military observers in the Comoros," a statement said.
