500 airlines to participate in Dubai Aviation Exhibition

The UAE will host next month the Dubai International Aviation Exhibition 97 which will witness a fierce competition between plane manufacturing companies. Statistics show that the Middle East region has become a major buyer of planes.

The exhibition's organizers said that the plane Sensation X, considered the quickest plane for businessmen; the plane Global Express 9004, manufactured by Bombardie; and the Gulf Stream 50 plane--in addition to the latest manufactured two planes--will be exhibited for the first time in the Middle East in the Dubai International Exhibition between 16-20 November.

It is expected that there will be great competition between Boeing and Airbus, which manufacture long range traveling planes, as they will each try to display the biggest share of the business planes in the exhibition.

More than 500 companies from 28 countries will participate in the exhibition which is sponsored by the government of Dubai and the Civil Aviation Department of Dubai.
