Fishmonger killed for harrassing women

Two murders occurred in Giza and Cairo yesterday in fights over women, police said.

Police alleged that a fishmonger was arrested for killing a neighbor for harrassing his university student sister on her way home earlier that afternoon.

Police said Mohamed Galal, 22, confessed to stabbing Atef Mohamed Mosa to death during a street fight over the victim's continuous harassment of his sister.

In another other incident, a policeman shot dead a laborer for pestering a female neighbor who has on her own way to the market. The woman complained to the policeman and asked for his protection.

The policeman went forward to warn the laborer, but when a fight erupted between them, the policeman fired his gun at the man, Al Akhbar daily said today.
