Religious dialogue between Grand Imam and Vatican

The Vatican Inter-religions Dialogue Authority recently sent a message of appreciation to the Grand Imam of Al Azhar mosque, Sheikh Mohammed Sayed Tantawi, for setting up an inter-religious dialogue committee.
A Vatican official said the step would make a long-term impact on bringing closer ties among adherents to the revealed religions, Al Wafd daily said today.
The committee members include Al-Azhar mosque deputy, Sheikh Fawzi El Zezaf, dialogue activist Dr. Ali El Saman and former dean of Ain Shams University's faculty of arts Dr. Mostafa Al Shakaa.
