New Nubian museum

A 52-member team of Americans was allowed into the Nubian Museum before its official inauguration, which was delayed until next month. The team, which comprised American journalists and museum curators, arrived in Aswan on a visit that included a tour of the museum.
Dr. Ahmed Nawar, head of the museums sector at the Supreme Council for Antiquities, agreed to allow them into the museum, where they reviewed and impressed by the unique collocation of ancient Nubian antiquities.
The L.E 70 million museum is the brainchild of the Supreme Council for Antiquities and was built in cooperation with UNSCO and the World Museum Organization.
The new museum show cases Nubian history and civilizations throughout history until the establishment of the Aswan high Dam, Al Ahram daily said today.
